Max’s storyline is very up in the air, ’cause obviously she’s in a coma and Eleven can’t find her in the void. So they called me beforehand and were like, ‘just warning you, this is in there, so you’re not like truly shocked.’ I have no idea what’s coming in five and what that looks like. They called me before I read the ninth episode because in the script it literally says that Max dies. “They’ve been very secretive about season five in general. But she doesn’t know if she’ll survive in season 5: Sadie Sink was asked about her return in season 5, which seems somewhat tenuous, given that she is alive, but also in a coma with all her arms and legs broken after being half-sacrificed by Vecna, and brought back to life by Eleven. To discuss this in detail, we have to go into spoiler territory. Namely that the cast does not even know their own fates for the final season of the series. Show casting how good you can be with the most important part of the script. So, in a worst-case scenario, just record those lines and only those lines. You can figure out the dialogue that the casting director most wants to see from you. You can tell where the most important moment of the scene is. You can also check to see if there’s a Facebook group in your area you can connect with.Ī script (or sides) is not created equally. You can join groups of actors who meet up to work on projects together. You can form a group with the actors in your acting class. There are groups of actors who have each other’s backs at times like this. So, you skip over the other character’s lines, add a line to make it make sense, and create one monologue. The other character only has a line here and there. But it can be done in some cases.įor example, your character might have a ton of lines. You could blend the script together, take a few liberties with the lines, and turn the dialogue into a monologue. You could just simply pretend that the dialogue is a monologue. They play back a recording of their own voices saying the lines and then respond of them. They, in a sense, become their own readers. Some actors have had success recording the lines of the other characters. Then you speak out loud when it’s your character’s turn to speak. You can make facial expressions and react, as you say the lines of the other character in your head. That is, you can pause after you say your lines, then imagine a reader is speaking the other character’s lines. ![]() It might feel a little weird to do, but you can simply pretend you have a reader.
